📜 History of American Immigration Lawyers Association Day of Action

A.I.L.A. members help families that want to reside in the United States. They also help athletes, celebrities, students, and any immigrant seeking asylum; as a non-profit, the majority of these cases are handled pro bono.

For improved management and communication, the A.I.L.A. is divided into smaller “chapters.” The organization has 39 chapters and 50 national committees.

The first National Day of Action was held in 1996. The primary goal of AILA’s National Day of Action has been to develop a better immigration system by implementing laws to assure long-term reform and to generate sustainable immigration advantages that benefit both the nation and immigrants. One of their other goals is to fix and change the immigration court so that it is fair, just, and treated people with respect.

Immigration lawyers with little or a lot of experience, professors, members of Congress, and legislative and administrative representatives are all welcome to attend.

Just and inclusive immigrant policies are critical in a country with a 14% immigrant population (almost 45 million people).
