📜 History of Innovation Day

The basic aim of this day is to recognize the efforts of innovators who bring innovation and progress to the fields of science and technology. This day was developed by the Science History Institute and the Society of Chemical Industry to honor those innovators who made groundbreaking innovations in the past that are still as valuable now as they were years ago.

Young children are also encouraged to be experimental and imaginative in their fields of interest on Innovation Day. In the nineteenth century, the term “innovation” became common. It was also around this time that the Industrial Revolution for economic growth and progress in the United Kingdom began. During this time period, the primary focus of innovators was on technological advancements.

Furthermore, the emergence of consumerism culture, which began in the 1700s and expanded throughout the world by the 1920s, spurred numerous corporate organizations to develop creative goods and services. Grant agencies and governments financed the establishment of research and experimental labs in the United States and Europe.

On Innovation Day, scientists, entrepreneurs, and people who want to be innovators work together to make products and services that will last for future generations.
