This sort of monotony can lead to recurrent burnouts, which are both psychologically and physically unhealthy. International Fun at Work Day guarantees that coworkers enjoy a little extra fun as they go about their everyday activities. 📜 History of International Fun at Work Day
Playfair, a corporation, held the inaugural International Fun at Work Day in 1996. The proprietors of Playfair, who ran a company providing joy to academic induction ceremonies, thought that workers who work in a pleasant and relaxed setting are more productive and effective in their duties than those who work in a rigorous workplace. This strategy not only helped PlayFair make more sales and money, but it also made them a well-known and sought-after company in their field.
Numerous studies have found that organizations that focus on their workers’ well-being have greater levels of productivity. Furthermore, humans are social animals that demand regular change to remain inspired. If there are no fresh stimuli in their environment, the same cycle of thoughts may be repeated.
While International Fun at Work Day is observed every April 1, if the date comes on a weekend, the activities are moved to the first Thursday of April. Of course, you can’t have fun at work if you’re not working that day. We hope you are planning to attend the event. Because many of us now work from home, there may be additional hurdles in celebrating the event with your coworkers. However, don’t let it prevent you from making the most of the day.
