The Boy Scouts of America, founded in 1910 by American W.D. Boyce, have helped mold many of our nation’s leaders. According to tradition, Boyce was lost on a foggy London street when an unknown scout came to his aid and guided him back to his accommodation. Boyce decided to bring the ideas of the British Kid Scout Association back to the United States after a Scout boy turned down a gift because he was just doing his job.
