On February 8, we recognize people who are trustworthy, loyal, helpful, kind, courteous, kind, obedient, happy, frugal, courageous, clean, and respectful. The Boy Scouts of America, founded in 1910 by American W.D. Boyce, have helped mold many of our nation’s leaders. According to tradition, Boyce was lost on a foggy London street when an unknown scout came to his aid and guided him back to his accommodation. Boyce decided to bring the ideas of the British Kid Scout Association back to the United States after a Scout boy turned down a gift because he was just doing his job.

Camping is an important element of being a boy scout and is an excellent way to commemorate National Boy Scout Day. Camping fosters self-reliance and ingenuity, as well as emotions of well-being from being surrounded by nature.
