📜 History of National Rosa Tequila Day

Nicho’s sons, Don Roberto and Don Fernando Real, took over the family distillery and founded Tequila Selecto in 1990. For almost 80 years, the Real Family of Tequila Selecto has strived to create tequila while also reaffirming the character of the Mexican state of Jalisco.

Calirosa, created by Don Roberto and Don Fernando in partnership with Adam Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, carries on Nicho’s tradition. Levine and Prinsloo fell in love with this combination and collaborated with the family-owned distillery to help launch the brand, first in the United States and then throughout the world.

Rosa Tequila was created by the famous Maroon 5 vocalist Adam Levine and supermodel Behati Prinsloo with the assistance of the Real family, manufacturers of tequila from Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico.

Calirosa, which has its roots in the Mexican state of Jalisco, the home of tequila, makes it a point to commemorate its land and people, employing traditions passed down through countless years to offer us the high-quality tequila they produce.

Calirosa tequilas are meticulously matured in red wine barrels for 30 days, 18 months, 36 months, and 5 years for the Rosa Blanco, Aejo, Extra Aejo, and Cinco Aos, respectively.
