National School Choice Week (N.S.C.W.) takes place in the final week of January each year and will be held this year from January 22 to 28. The Gleason Family Foundation, the nonprofit arm of a New York-based machine tool firm, was founded last week. This week gives access to extensive, unbiased, and up-to-date materials for parents who are searching for better schooling for their children and want to learn about the possibilities available in their local states. This week is for parents who wish to learn about school alternatives and the numerous possibilities available to them. Over 131,000 N.S.C.W. programs have been arranged in the United States since 2011.

📜 History of National School Choice Week

The American Federation for Children, the Walton Family Fund, ALEC, SPN, the Freedom Foundation, FreedomWorks, Cato Institute, Reason Foundation, the Heritage Foundation, the James Madison Institute, and the United States Chamber of Commerce were among the education partners in 2016. National School Choice Week has assisted nearly 44 million families in exploring school options between 2021 and 2022. Through virtual events and activities, it has collaborated with 22,095 schools and organizations to increase awareness. Aside from that, 45 important in-person events, such as school fairs, student shows, and celebrations at the capital, were planned, with over 20,000 people attending.

Several celebrities and government leaders have attended the N.S.C.W. events. A lengthy list of governors and mayors from throughout the country have also issued resolutions and proclamations in support of the campaign. From 2015 to 2019, the Senate of the United States passed a resolution to honor N.S.C.W., and in 2017, 2018, and 2019, President Donald J. Trump made similar announcements.
